AKIRA Original Soundtrack

>Geinoh Yamashirogumi is a Japanese musical collective founded on January 19, 1974 by Tsutomu Ōhashi, consisting of hundreds of people from all walks of life: journalists, doctors, engineers, students, businessmen, etc. They are known for both their faithful re-creations of folk music from around the world, as well as their fusion of various traditional musical styles with modern instrumentation and synthesizers. For example, in the 1980s, MIDI digital synthesizers could not handle the tuning systems of traditional gamelan music, so the group had to teach themselves how to program in order to modify their equipment."

A chance to contribute?! Okay guys, here goes nothing. I'll be sharing some recent Korean albums. with my review included.

For starters here's an album from 2009 that you absolutely CANNOT avoid getting.
G-Dragon - Heartbreaker
>Korea's leading male rapper, been signed since he was 12 years old, been producing songs since he was 15. Album is mostly Hip Hop.
http://www.mediafire.com/?yjjzi4mojqb

Next up is something a lot slower. It's a jazz album, which features mostly ballads, but has a few pop songs. This is Lee Soo Youngs 9th album, and in my opinion, it's her best album.
>Lee Soo Young - Dazzle
http://www.mediafire.com/?zb2jnn5zfmz

Dok2 - Thunderground
>This is as "hood" as Korean rap can get.The beats and lyrics are refreshing. This guy has a nice career ahead of him, already backed by Epik High's leader, Tablo.
http://www.mediafire.com/?mnulmwgzhdv

Seo Taiji - Atomos
>I really don't know what to say about this album. It's experimental noise pretty much, and I have a lot of mixed feelings about it. If you're expecting some Seo Taiji like back in the Seo Taiji and Boys days, you'll be sadly disappointed.
http://www.mediafire.com/?y3xzddunmmg

Epik High - Map The Soul
>Regarded as one of the best Hip Hop albums to ever be released in Korea, it's one of my favorites. Epik High has always taken hip hop to the next level, and refuses to sell out.
http://www.mediafire.com/?2myvmwlaizn

2NE1 - 2NE1
>2NE1's first and self titled album is a great piece of work. This all female hip hop group has hit Korea hard with catchy lyrics, and beats as hot as Fire.

Bruckner - String Quintet (Melos Quartet / Enrique Santiago)
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KXZ3ZCI6

Highly genial chamber music from one of the premier symphonists of the 19th century, it's basically a symphony for string quintet, he treats it like an orchestra - there's really nothing to compare this to, just check it out.

That'll be no problem dude, I love foreign stuff. Does he rap in korean or in english? Stupid question, I know, but I've heard people mention korean-beats or something in hiphop before.
One problem though, when I try to download the album, it says it's 75 or so MB, but after a few minutes of downloading, the download will stop, say it's complete, but will show it's only downloaded a certain amount. First time it was 4MB. Now it's 32MB and it said it was done. Never had this happen before. Any idea?

Nope, I don't have any of the demos or anything. At this point, the only Patton-related things I have are Mr. Bungle's California, and Fantômas' The Director's Cut. I'm happy with the two albums I've already asked for though, man. Anything else you happen to upload is like.. Icing on the cake or something. I don't want to trouble you or anything. XD

In Korea, artists perform live on a number of different music shows and variety shows to promote their music. They'll do 1-4 live performances of their single each week depending on how many shows they want to appear on. This can go on for anywhere from 4-12 weeks(longest i've seen) as long as they can stay within the top 20.

Good music being shared, actual musicians (if that was really Patton), trolls, tripfags, arguing that made me actually laugh out loud... It was very very enjoyable and entertaining.

And I got some music out of it!

Although i mostly agree with Matts opinion. Music isnt subjective at all.
Nivek while you might think he is just trying to push your buttons by bieing a animu avatar-fag ( For further research, Refer to Lanced Jack) but he provides decent content to the board and isnt blatantly jumping in for your attentione. Dude just wants to express himself a bit more.

Ignorant towards the fact that music taste is completely subjective. I understand your thinking that it's not, simply by posting on this board, but to the rest of the world, music is widely discussed upon as if it were a political view. Something that can be changed by perspective, and not something that is simply shot down without a second thought, because it's a different view than yours.
You have a simple mind, it's easy to spot. Thinking rationally is not easy for you.
